Since Halloween is behind us, it is time to start the countdown until the lights go on:

I finally got one arch lit up. Construction was easy, but the lighting has fallen behind.

First, I drilled holes in the ends of 2x4's:

Then, I simply installed a piece of 1/2" PVC:

After installing lights and quickly hooking it up to a controller (with a small sample sequence), the results are pretty cool:

Next up in the construction process is a new Tune To sign. In past years, I used a white banner. Since I wanted something a little more representative of the light show, I opted to build something suitable.

Using the same projector setup for the Countdown project, I outlined the design on plywood:

Using green vinyl, the sign was covered:

Just as in the Countdown project, a light box was built

A piece of PVC pipe is painted to look like a candy cane. This will support the sign:

Once final assembly is done, I will post a completed picture.
Multi-colored LED's were stapled around the outside to illuminate. A removable panel was installed to permit reuse by simply hanging a new date advertising Santa's Landing.
